As autumn shadows lengthen, climb aboard the Pella Trolley for an evening among Pella’s departed. Journey through Oakwood Cemetery as we uncover the triumphs, tragedies, and darker tales of five Pella residents laid to rest within its grounds. After your journey among the headstones, return to Strawtown Inn for drinks, light bites, and a final toast to the dearly departed.
Autumn Tea & Painting

Join us for an evening of autumn tea and painting! Instructor Dora Olson returns to show you how to paint an autumnal scene especially for book lovers. We’ll enjoy hot tea, light bites, and sweet treats for a cozy fall evening.

Halloween at the Scholte House

Celebrate Halloween with us at the Scholte House! On Saturday, October 31, the house will be open during our regular tour hours and anyone can stop by for a piece of candy for some early trick or treating. We also will offer free tours for anyone that is wearing a costume and wants to have a tour of the house!

Chair caning classes are back! Join us for a 4-part class series where you will learn how to cane chairs, make repairs, and overall care for caned furniture. Our instructor, Gene Newman, has decades of experience and will not only teach the art of chair caning, but also provide a hands on learning experience.
Chairs will be made available for each participant to cane during the class, but will not be available to take/keep upon completion. If a participant has a chair that they would like to cane, they may bring it with them and use for the duration of the class. Ages 16+ are welcome to sign up.
Tulip Queen's Announcement Party
