Join us for another evening of tea and painting! Instructor Dora Olson returns to show you how to paint a winter barn scene. We’ll enjoy a winter charcuterie, hot tea, and other treats for a cozy evening.

Ages 14 & up
Join us for a 6-part class series where you will learn how to cane chairs, make repairs, and care for caned furniture. Instructor Gene Newman has decades of experience and will not only teach the art of chair caning, but also provide a hands on learning experience.
Chairs will be made available for each participant to cane during the class, but will not be available to take/keep upon completion. If a participant has a chair that they would like to cane, they may bring it with them and use for the duration of the class.

Dutch Day Camp: Grown-Up's Edition

Dutch Day Camp: Grown Up’s’s Edition is a fun-filled day for people to experience a taste of what students do at our annual summer camp, but with a grown up twist! Our incredible leader for this class is Lisa Jaarsma Zylstra, a Pella native with a Master’s degree in history that has dedicated much of her research to the history of Pella and its connection to the Netherlands.
Some of the activities will include a beer tasting, samples of Dutch foods found in Pella, hands-on crafting, and more!

The Amazing Story of Buxton, Iowa

In partnership with Pella Corporation, we are excited to welcome Rachelle Chase to Pella to tell the amazing story of Buxton, Iowa - the lost coal mining community that was located twenty miles south of Pella. Rachelle Chase is a podcaster, columnist, public speaker, and author of eight published books and novellas, including Creating the Black Utopia of Buxton, Iowa and Lost Buxton.
